I did a fun little interview with Perfect Sound Forever discussing Furry Things, Austin in the 90’s, Butthole Surfers, and my upcoming musical activities.

Dont Let The Sunshine Fool ya
That time Bell Gardens covered a Guy Clark tune. This was supposed to come out on 7″ then aborted. The test pressing still sits on my record shelf and sounds pretty darn good!

Toler Gibson
I have been playing with some friends for the last year and a half in a new band called Toler Gibson. The band features members of Bell Gardens and Winter Flowers. We are playing LA this weekend at The Grand Ole Echo and Harvard and Stone‘s Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound. Hope to see you there!

Don’t Let The Sunshine Fool Ya
Happy New year! You can now get the Bell Gardens cover of the Guy Clark tune “Don’t Let The Sunshine Fool Ya” on dublab’s Bandcamp page as part of the donation based “Reflective: A Dublab Covers Compilation”. Guest appearance by Brad Laner (of Medicine, Electric Company etc.) on bass! This track was supposed to be released as a B side on a 7″ a few years ago, but outside of the test pressing that sits in my studio, was for odd reasons never released. Also featured on the compilation is other good folks such as Elephant Pixel (aka techno superstar Dilo) doing The Beach Boys “Good Vibrations”, Van Dyke Parks, Mia Doi Todd, James Figurine and many more!
